Keraton Kacirebonan

Keraton Kacirebonan

Keraton Kacirebonan is a palace that was founded on the initiative of Prince Muhamad Haerudhin. He is the fourth Crown Prince of Sultan Kanoman who fought against the Dutch colonial rule. The history of the construction of the Kacirebonan Palace is inseparable from the wars that had raged in the Cirebon area. At that time, in 1670, the Dutch began to enter the sovereignty of the Kanoman Palace led by Prince Haerudhin. This was opposed by the crown prince of the empire, who was none other than Prince Muhamad Haerudhin. Involving the Cirebon people who supported it, the war against Dutch colonialism lasted for at least about 5 years. However, in 1696 Prince Muhamad Haerudhin was defeated and exiled to Ambon, Maluku. The rooms in the Keraton Kacirebonan store various objects related to the palace and the Islamic religion. The book from the time of the guardians to the gamelan is one of the ancient collections that can be witnessed when visiting the Kacirebonan Palace which is very eye-catching.
